Alan MVB MRCVS

Alan Sweeney Graduated in Ireland in 2016 and has worked in critical care since very early on in his career.  Alan has been a leading figure in providing emergency care in London since 2019 and has an incredible reputation for providing the very best all round after hours service.

Gisella MRCVS

Gisella qualified in Italy and has been practising in the UK for over 5 years.  Gisella has undertaken many years of ECC roles and now focuses on advanced imaging both heart and abdonimal.

Katy MRCVS

Katy qualified in the UK and is an excellent general practice vet who excels in soft tissue surgery and complex medical cases.  Katy is confident to see any pet requiring her care from routine appointments to emergency surgery.

Gerald MRCVS

Ged qualified as a Vet in the UK and headed straight into referral work in one of the most prestigious hospitals in England.  Initially enjoying ophthalmology and dermatology, Jed then discovered his true passion for emergency care. Spending time also at our established service in Belgravia, London, Jed has experience in all emergency procedures both surgical and medical together with a focus on client relationships and emergency consultations.

In 2024 Jed has taken on extra study to achieve further qualification as an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner with the University of Nottingham.

Francisco MRCVS

Francisco qualified in Portugal in 2017 and has worked in the UK since 2018.  Since arriving in the UK Francisco has dedicated himself to roles in emergency and critical care only bringing a wealth of experience to providing a first class urgent service to those sick cases requiring attention outside of hours.

Tania MRCVS

Tania qualified in Portugal in 2014 and has advanced qualification in cardiology.  Tania has been in the UK practising for 5 years and has worked in day and night teams giving high level care and performing advanced ultrasound of both the abdomen and heart. Tania is also highly experienced in both routine and emergency surgery.

Laura DVM, MSc, PhD, MRCVS

Laura is a dedicated and skilled veterinary surgeon with a primary interest in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC).

Laura earned her Veterinary Degree from the University of Barcelona in 2004. Her passion for cardiology led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Cardiology, which she completed in 2011. In addition to her doctoral studies, Laura holds a master’s degree in Animal Nutrition and also Clinical Sciences. She has also achieved several certifications, including a Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture from the ABVA and recognition as a Feline Hypertension Ambassador.

Since relocating to the UK in 2016, Laura has worked in various small animal practices, progressing from veterinary surgeon roles to senior and lead positions. Her focus on emergency medicine and critical care has been a central aspect of her career since 2018.

Laura’s professional interests are diverse, encompassing cardiology, imaging, feline medicine, pain management, and acupuncture. Laura is actively working towards an Advanced Practitioner certification in ECC Emergency Medicine and Surgery, reinforcing her dedication to providing high-quality care.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Tara

Tara graduated with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2016. Following her studies, she completed a nursing internship in medicine. On completion, she took on a role as a rotating nurse at a referral hospital, where she navigated through various specialties. It was during this time that she discovered her love for emergency and critical care nursing.

In 2018, Tara moved to London, making it her home. She previously worked at our main hospital, Streatham Hill Vets, gaining exposure to diverse cases and further refining her nursing skills.

Tara has now returned to our team as the Head Nurse at Elizabeth Street Veterinary Clinic, where she loves meeting new clients and their furry friends. Tara shares her home with Pru, an adorable British Shorthair cat who she rehomed in 2021.

Practice Manager

Danni

Danni has an exceptional veterinary nursing background and over 20 years solid pet nursing experience!

Prior to joining our team, Danni spent many years in a specialist charity hospital before lending her vast knowledge and care to senior roles in Surrey based surgeries.

Being very hands on and passionate about your pets, Danni’s professional areas of interest are anaesthesia, diagnostics and exotics.

Outside of the surgery Danni is owned by two gorgeous dogs, five felines and a very happy collection of reptiles.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Ben-RVN

Ben is one of our night nurses here at Elizabeth Street vets. He has been a qualified Veterinary Nurse since July 2019 and has worked within a veterinary practice since 2012.  He has a very keen interest in emergency and critical care as well as end-of-life care for patients. At home he has a Chihuahua named Tomme and a Whippet called Louie. He also own 3 cats, Garfield, Kobi and Rodney.

Veterinary Receptionist

Lania

Lania is our veterinary receptionist, she also has her own furry companion named Riley, who shares Lania’s enthusiasm for chicken nuggets. Lania’s favorite breeds include Brussels Griffon, King Charles Cavalier puppies, and Ragdolls. Additionally, Lania has a strong obsession with goats.
