Our Facilities
Reception and Waiting Room.
This is your first point of contact at the practice either by phone or in person. We operate a computerised management and appointment system to keep the practice running smoothly. Clients are usually offered a 15 minute appointment to allow you the time necessary to discuss your pet's problems. Please try to be punctual for appointments, as we endevour to run on time. However please remember that emergencies do happen and sometimes these have to be seen first.
We have a large range of premium pet foods and products on display. Our receptionist will be happy to give general advice and help you choose from the selection of non prescription items available.
Consulting Room.
This room is where patients are seen and examined by the vet to determine the best course of action and treatment required for you and your pet. Diagnostic equipment is readily to hand and the room is air conditioned to keep it as comfortable as possible.
Laboratory.
We have in-house analysis machines for routine blood testing, microscopy and urine analysis. This allows the quick turn around of samples which can be critical especially in emergency cases. There is an external laboratory which is used for more complex tests such as biopsies. They run a courier service with up to three pickups daily. This helps the accuracy of results by keeping samples as fresh as possible and again allows for a quick return of results.
Ward Room.
This room is the heart of the building. We have different sized kennels to house pets in a comfortable warm and hygienic manner. We also have an incubator unit for critically ill patients to allow oxygen therapy and control the ambient temperature. Our facilities allow close observation of the patients and equipment such as infusion pumps ensure they receive their treatment accurately.
This room also houses our dental, endoscopy, blood pressure and ultrasound equipment.
Theatre.
All surgery is performed in this room. The heated operating table and modern monitoring equipment allows us to keep a close eye on the patients condition through operations and keep them as safe as possible through anaesthesia. We have good quality lighting and surgical equipment to allow us to perform most common preocedures. We also have rigorous cleaning and sterilisation protocols in place to try and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
