Home Visits

We offer home visits to all our clients.

These are carried out when a patient is in need of veterinary attention but the owner is unable to bring the animal to the clinic. If the animal concerned is not able to wait until it is convenient for us, then we will endeavour to visit the animal in its own home as soon as possible.

If we are unable to carry out a home visit due to other veterinary commitments then we will provide telephone numbers of local animal ambulances that will be able to attend and bring the animal with or without the owner to the surgery for treatment.

If the animal is in distress and needs to be seen without delay then we will advise the owner to arrange other means of getting to the clinic for example a friend or neighbour. Due to having all equipment necessary at hand and being able to treat the animal without the delay of a home visit, this will allow us to treat the animal promptly on arrival and hopefully alleviate pain and suffering.

All requests for a house visits are discussed with the veterinary surgeon on duty, it is sometimes difficult for us to provide house visits during our emergency out-of-hours clinic as there is only 1 vet on duty and incoming emergencies will always take priority.
